Privacy policy

1. The Lyncost app

Lyncost stores everything you enter — accounts, transactions, budgets, investments and settings — in a database file on your own computer. It has no user accounts, no cloud sync and no analytics or telemetry. We cannot see, access or recover your financial data.

The only network request the app makes is a version check that downloads a small file from GitHub on Linux, so it can tell you about updates. This request contains no personal or financial information.

2. This website

• The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and operations.
• We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
• If you buy a license, your license key and payment ID are saved in your own browser's local storage so you can see them again. You can remove them at any time.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay collects the details needed to complete the payment (such as your email, phone number and payment method) under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card numbers, UPI PIN or bank credentials. We can see your payment record in our Razorpay dashboard and use it only to deliver your license, handle refunds and answer support requests.

Your license key is generated from your payment ID, so we don't need to store it separately.

4. Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. We don't send marketing emails.

5. Your rights

You can ask us what payment information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where the law allows, by emailing darshantech@proton.me.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
